What’s with the Mudpies?

When I was little, my exasperated mother used to yell, “Go outside and play ! Blow the stink off !”

I hated it !  I was a happy bookworm, content to laze around the house reading.  Yet "outside" was where I discovered my true passion and purpose.  It's where my creativity, my innate pattern of making something from nothing was born.  Where my friends saw dirt, grass, pebbles and weeds, I saw ingredients:  MUDPIES !  GLORIOUS MUDPIES !

It's a pattern that's served me and others well.

I re-create life's experiences and challenges to inspire and enlighten.  Where others might see "bad," I see "good."  When others might feel burdened and hopeless, I feel excited about the hidden possibilities, opportunities for rich learning, and meaning.

Living consciously, showing up open, willing, and committed to learning, makes for an endlessly fascinating empowered life.
